Minister of Family and Social Services Göktaş: "August maternity benefit payments started to be deposited into mothers' accounts today."

Minister Göktaş, who visited the Denizli Governorship, was welcomed by Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun and other relevant officials in front of the governorship.
Minister Göktaş signed the Governor's Book of Honor and received information from Governor Coşkun about the work carried out in the province.
Speaking to members of the press later, Göktaş said that these visits were very valuable to them and that they had the opportunity to see firsthand the work carried out by the ministry in the field.
Göktaş also explained that they are able to listen to citizens' requests and wishes, stating that they act with a people-centered approach in line with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's vision, and that they provide services for women, children, the disabled, the elderly, relatives of martyrs, veterans, and all citizens in need.
Göktaş stated that the ministry has invested 9.4 billion lira in Denizli over the last 23 years, adding that 837 children continue to be with their families through socioeconomic support, and that they have allocated 7.36 billion lira to the city for social assistance between 2003 and 2025.
Göktaş, reminding everyone that 2025 has been declared the "Year of the Family," said, "It's actually a mobilization movement encompassing the entire society. We're carrying out important projects to strengthen families. We're working to raise awareness among families about the risks of a globalizing world. We're running various awareness-raising programs in all 81 provinces. We've conducted 9,367 events and awareness campaigns across Turkey, 43 of which were in Denizli."
Göktaş, noting that 1,631 couples have applied to the Family and Youth Fund in Denizli, said, "To date, 151,086 couples have applied to the Family and Youth Fund in Türkiye. We support young people with education and counseling services. We will continue our important work to protect our country's young and dynamic population."
Minister Göktaş also emphasized maternity benefits and said:
We specifically updated the amount of maternity benefits. As part of this initiative, we implemented a one-time support of 5,000 lira for the first child, a monthly payment of 1,500 lira for the second child, a monthly payment of 5,000 lira for the third child, and a monthly payment of 5,000 lira for children three and subsequent children. We are continuing this support until the child turns five. August maternity benefit payments began being deposited into mothers' accounts today. As of today, we have provided approximately 3.5 billion lira in support. Thus, we have enabled 383,691 mothers to benefit from maternity benefits so far. As the Ministry, we will continue to support families and children with sustainable support. (AA) This content was published by Metin Yamaner .
